Remember when snowboarding contests were fun?? You know, before huge sketchy jumps built by people who know nothing about snowboarding? Before flat light, wind and constantly changing speed threatened to help deliver a season ending slam on something that wasn’t even fun? Before Steve-Dave Shredowski’s mom yelled at the judges?
Well, your pals at The Source and The Akademy sure as huck remember. We sat down and thought about what was the most fun thing to ride, rain or shine and it came to us– HUCK RUTS!!!
Enter WHAT THE HUCK!?, a snowboard contest for everyone. We have teamed up with the good people at Lake Louise, to create a huge open jam format contest that brings the fun back to snowboarding. WHAT THE HUCK is a HUCK RUT CONTEST, built with 2 gigantic huck ruts and a 100 foot long spine that runs downhill which can be aired, handplanted or just straight up shralped as many times as you want! Go as big or small as you want. All we care about is that you have fun shredding!
We have a slew of sponsors that feel the same way. They think WHAT THE HUCK RULES, and so by association, they rule as well:
DINOSAURS WILL DIE
UNION BINDING COMPANY
ONE BALL JAY
…. and many more!!!
Oh yeah, and everyone leaves with a WHAT THE HUCK T-shirt as well!!
