SNOWBOARD WORLD CUP TOUR HITS CALGARY

This Friday and Saturday the World Cup drops into C.O.P. Top half pipe jocks from around the world are jonesing to get their hands on the $100,000 cash prize money. Here’s the schedule:

March 2 TELUS Half-pipe Event
Half-pipe 0800-1600 Qualifiers
Half-pipe 2000-2100 Finals

March 3 Nissan Half-pipe Event
Half-pipe 0800-1600 Qualifiers
Half-pipe 2000-2100 Finals

Considered the highest level of snowboard competition, the Nokia snowboard FIS World Cup tour makes 21 stops in 13 nations throughout the winter season. Competitors will earn essential World Cup points which are used by each nation as criteria to select their national and Olympic Snowboard teams.
