BURTON CANADIAN OPEN 2011, FEBRUARY 1-6 @ C.O.P.

The Burton Canadian Open is here. Come down to COP for world class riding, free give-aways in the sponsor village, and on Friday night DJs JS1, Ody Rock and headliner Mix Master Mike. Also on Friday night, Terry and Deaner (of FUBAR) will be on hand as the official hosts of the CANO beer garden. Can’t make it…watch the live webcast on Metacafe.com. You don’t want to miss this!

The Burton Canadian Open (“CANO”) is coming back to WinSport Canada’s Canada Olympic Park on February 1-6, 2011. Join riders from around the world in competing in world class halfpipe and slopestyle courses and for a $50,000 cash purse.

The third stop in the Burton Global Open Series, the CANO will be a crucial stop for riders looking to accumulate BGOS points.    With the the top 3 men and women BGOS riders winning CASH ($50k for first, $30 for second and $20k for third), the CANO is an important event for all riders to attend.

The CANO is also proud to be a 5Star TTR event….just another reason to get out there and compete. All riders that compete will earn TTR points, but the top male and female rider will walk away from the CANO with 850 TTR points and a chance at the TTR Championship title.

The Canadian Open is just what is says…. “OPEN.”  This means anyone can enter! Registration will open from October 20 to December 20, 2010, unless the waitlist is not filled and then registration will stay open until the fields are full. Once registration closes, event officials will select riders from the waitlist and confirm their entry into the event on or before December 31st, 2010. For registration details, click on “Registration” on the nav bar in the “Info” section.

NOTE: ALL COMPETITORS MUST WEAR A HELMET WHEN COMPETING AND PRACTICING!

Lastly, you can find all the info you will need on schedule, formats, prize breakdown, accreditation, how to get to COP and more here on The Burton News and Events site. And be sure to check back often for any event related updates.
