…local qualifiers kick off DC Nationals contest in cities across Canada in June.
The 4th annual event kicks off at the end of June with local qualifying events being run across Canada with over 2500 participants representing Canadian talent. The DC Nationals is Canada’s only coast to coast Skateboard Contest that gives Canadian skaters a chance to showcase their skills on a National level. These contests are completely free to enter at every stage of the contest.
DC Nationals Local Qualifiers June 24th and 25th, 2006
The first round of qualifying allows kids to enter in a friendly local competition where the top 5 winners in the Boys and Girls Open category are eligible to participate in the Regional competition run at the end of July. The 7 regions represented in 2006 will be British Columbia/Yukon, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes.

The top 5 skateboarders from the Regional qualifiers will earn their spot in The DC Nationals Championship to be held at Slam City Jam, the North American Skateboard Championships, at Stampede Park in Calgary, AB on Friday August 25th, 2006.

Here, Canada’s top amateur skateboarders will compete to determine the National Champion in their class. In addition to cash prizes, all DC National Championship participants will receive a 3-day series pass to Slam City Jam. The top 3 finalists in the Men’s and Women’s category will also be given a spot in the Slam City Jam street qualifiers on Saturday August 26th, 2006.
